Budapest, 12 September 2011 – students who have not yet applied for a Student Loan but who would like to receive their loans in October, at the time of the first disbursement, have only four days left to submit their applications. From now on students applying for a Student Loan can complete an application form online at www.diakhiteldirekt.hu. However, they will still have to submit the completed form at any of the branches of our partner banks and savings cooperatives.
The first deadline for Student Loan application in the current academic year is 15 September. Students who have not applied for a Student Loan previously but who would like to receive their loan in October have to submit their applications by the deadline. Those who have already taken out a Student Loan previously are not required to submit a new application. However, they should enrol for their courses as soon as possible, as only students with a valid student status will receive their loan upon the first disbursement. In the autumn semester the first transfer will take place on 14 October.
Upon applying for a Student Loan, new applicants can also make a Student Loan Direct contract. Loan recipients can report any changes in their details, review their balances and manage their administrative tasks relating to the amount of their loans online at www.diakhiteldirekt.hu.
For With a view to identification, the Student Loan Direct contracts have to submitted in person at the branches of our partner banks and saving cooperatives or at higher education institutions. A list of the locations where contracts can be submitted is available at the Company’s website.
The available amounts of the loan have remained the same as last year: borrowers can apply for HUF 15,000, 21,000, 25,000, 30,000, 40,000 or 50,000 per month. It means that students attending state-funded courses and those studying at fee-paying courses can receive a maximum of HUF 200,000 or HUF 250,000, respectively.
