How can you take out a Student Loan?

How can you take out a Student Loan?

How can you apply for a Student Loan?

It is very easy. You can complete the required forms at Student Loan Direct, i.e. the loan administration interface of the website of Student Loan Centre, then print the completed forms and submit the documents at any of the major post offices, or at selected branches of our partner banks and savings cooperatives. Hard copy forms are also available at the above locations.

You can also conclude your loan contract through an authorised representative.

What you may need...

In order to complete the loan application form you will need the lists of alphabetical and numerical codes of tertiary and secondary institutions. You can find the most up-to-date information at our website.

Please sign every page!

Your loan contract will be valid only if you sign both copies of the loan application form as well the loan contract, which is on the other side of the application form, in the presence of the administrator. The administrator will check the loan contract and the loan application form for completeness.

When is the deadline for submitting applications?

The first disbursement day of the Student Loan is 14 October in the autumn semester and 14 March in the spring semester. If the disbursements day falls on a public holiday, the loans are transferred on the working day preceding the public holiday. If you would like your money to be transferred on the first disbursement day of the semester, please submit your loan application by 15 September in the autumn semester and 15 February in the spring semester.

Those applying for a Student Loan during a semester will receive their money on the next disbursement day retrospectively for the whole period from the start of the semester. The final deadline for submitting Student Loan applications is 15 December in the autumn semester and 16 May in the spring semester. Those applying for a loan after the above deadlines may only receive their money in the following semester.

The Student Loan can only be disbursed after the university or college has confirmed the student’s official status. The Student Loan can be disbursed only after the Student Loan Centre has received a student status confirmation from the student’s educational institution; applicants are therefore advised to enrol for their courses as soon as they can.

Students can submit a Student Loan application any time during the autumn semester of the 2011/2012 academic year with the following deadlines:
